Hello! I am a designer, strategist, and foresight practitioner striving to create comprehensive solutions to curiously challenging problems. While dabbling equally and passionately in between anthropology and technology, I provide Hindsight, Insight, and Foresight to peers and partners alike.
My work, for clients including IBM, Samsung, Volvo, UN-WHO, Massachusetts General Hospital, and numerous startups, has informed product innovation and design management across an array of disciplines – scaling from individual products to broad service ecosystems – and through the whole gamut of the design process.
I am an avid thought-partner and educator, with experience facilitating executive design innovation workshops and teaching, both at Stanford’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school), and at NuVu Studio, an MIT Media Lab-affiliated innovation school based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
A lifelong explorer and certified wilderness canoe guide, my design philosophy is firmly rooted in my experiences spent relying on artifacts at the edges of civilization.
When not at work or thinking about the future(s), I can be found flâneuring through urban and rural ecologies, taking notes and making photos.
